St. Paul’s Church is currently undergoing restoration. This primarily involves the restoration of the exterior facade and stability work. Phase 1 of the restoration runs from February 2025 to February 2026. As a result, the north aisle is inaccessible, and the series of paintings, including the 15 Mysteries of the Rosary, Rubens’ Adoration of the Shepherds, and Quertenmont’s copy of Caravaggio’s Madonna de la Rosary, are in storage. Rubens’s Flagellation and Van Dyck’s Carrying of the Cross, numbers 7 and 9 respectively in the series of 15 Mysteries, can be admired at eye level in specially adapted climate-controlled cabinets in the high choir.<\/p>\n

Tourist visits:<\/span><\/p>\n From November 1st to February 28th, the church is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and during the (Flemish) school holidays, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.<\/p>\n Entrance through the gate on the corner of Veemarkt and Zwartzusterstraat. \nMusic is played during all Sunday masses in St. Paul’s Church. This could be organ accompaniment by our organist or a mass with soloists or choir. On seven Catholic holidays we offer an orchestral mass during the celebration of mass! Be sure to keep an eye on our agenda so you don’t miss it! Naturally, all Masses are free for everyone.
