during restoraion
gepost op: 10 September 2026
Our church is open: from 2 May 2026 to 31 October 2026, the church is open daily from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. From 1 November 2026 through 28 February 2027, the church is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays—as well as during (Flemish) school holidays—from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed on 1 January.
The church is currently undergoing extensive restoration. As a result, certain sections—specifically the nave, the organ and the side aisles—are closed to the public. Consequently, the *15 Mysteries* and other works by Rubens, among others, cannot be viewed at this time. Nevertheless, we have endeavored to offer you, our visitor, a fascinating experience at St. Paul’s Church by opening up areas that usually remain closed, such as the crypt, the archaeological site, and ‘t Schooltje (“the Little School”), which offers a magnificent view of the old and immense Dominican monastery.
Practical:
The entrance is via the gate at the corner of Veemarkt and Zwartzustersstraat. We are wheelchair accessible. Rates remain unchanged: €5 standard – €3 for groups of 15 or more paying visitors and students (upon presentation of a student ID) – free for holders of a Museum Pass, ICOM card, A-kaart, or Antwerp City Pass, and for companions of wheelchair users.
On Tuesday the 6th of October
The church will be closed to visitors on both Saturday, October 3, and Tuesday, October 6. We apologize for the inconvenience.
