The daily management of “Music at St Paul’s” is in the hands of a triumvirate made up of music director Wilfried Van den Brande, titular organist Bart Rodyns and Leo Vereecken, chairman of the non-profit organization “Muziekkapel Sint-Paulus”.
Wilfried Van den Brande is Doctor of Arts. As bass-baritone he has been active in his home-church St Paul’s for more than 25 years. In 2013 he succeeded Frans Dubois who retired as Kapellmeister and took over as intendant/music director. Wilfried was instrumental in the evolution of Music at St Paul’s towards a more professional structure as a non-profit organization and as a centre of musical excellence.
Bart Rodyns has filled the position of titular organist of the historic Van Haegen/Forceville/Delhaye organ in our church since June 2020. He is professor at the Fontys School of Fine Arts in Tilburg (Netherlands). He is also artistic director of Euterpe Baroque Consort, the ensemble that has grown into a fixed value in our church. Bart and Wilfried take charge of the artistic programming.
Leo Vereecken succeeded Paul Bistiaux as chairman in September 2020. He brings his experience as board member of many years in a number of non-profit organizations in addition to his academic background as a Master in Religious Studies and his ecclesiastical commitment as a lay leader of liturgy in Antwerp North (sanctioned by the bishop).
